me again sorry.

ok so I just got done trying something . I shoot Raw so I was able to lower?? the exposure and change the white balance. How cool is that?!? Now I have two of them beside each other. The before, which was in the previous post and after, the thing I just tried. So yeah do you think after is too dark now, or is it ok? Just noticed I didn't crop it as close. . .sorry. =-)

Overexposure with Tyra

I was babysitting yesterday. So I had some fun with outdoor portraits. I was having a problem with them being dark and bluish. So I overexposed them. Did I maybe do it too much?? Like are they too bright? Also the one with the nippy in focus, should I have more of the nippy than I do? Like does that look stupid? If they are too bright do you have any ideas how to get rid of the brightness but not have it turn all darkish and blue?? If you want to see a picture so that you understand what I mean by that just let me know. I have plenty of them. =-)

A photo shoot with my lilttle Sis
I'm wondering about the two Bottem Pictures. I think I probably should have tried to get her more on the third. Which one do you like better? One shows more movement then the other. I like the other one too though. I was having her turn in circles, the poor dear just about fell down she was so dizzy! I was also wondering If the first Picture looked a little cold. Let me know what you think!

b&w attempt

So I was my own model. That was a ROYAL pain. Set timer. Fly over to sit down. Look at picture. Not very good. Have to start all over. You most certainly can't get very many angles and try very many things that way but oh well. I had an idea and no one to model for me. . . I'm pretty sure there's not enough contrast in this photo to be good enough for a b&w photo. So let me know what you think and how I can get MORE contrast. It's rather difficult and frustrating. HELP!!

It's my turn!
You guys can go ahead and take a look and tell me what you think.
I've uploaded some pictures I got from the EAA Air show last week. Sorry it took so long for me post them. I was having trouble uploading them, I'm pretty sure it was my computer. Grrr! On the third picture I tried panning. I wanted the plane a little sharper, but It was hard to tell What I was getting on my LCD screen. I'm wondering if I should have raised the shutter speed. I had It at 200. I also think my contrast was a tad dark. So let me know what you think! :)

Camera as a garden tool???

Mom wanted me to go pick tomatoes last night. I wasn't all that excited about it, but, hey, it was something to do. So I started picking and then I thought, "What a cool story." Ran back into the house, got my camera, and these are the results. Sorry there's so many pictures to critique. =-) I had fun. Not so sure about emotional appeal though. =-) There are a few changes I would make if I could. Like rule of thirds, different angle, and I'm not so sure all of them are as "focused" as they could be. I had to do it manually cause my camera was being a pain. =-( So yes, take them apart, I am eager to learn. =-) Btw, if you didn't catch on, this is the story of a growing tomato. Not so sure it's even considered a story. . . Maybe it should be the progress of a growing tomato. . . =-/ Whatever.

question: Could I eliminate the one very red tomato and just use the one with the hand picking it?? Or should it stay like that??

I know I just posted, but....

Now here's a face that we all know...and love. LOL This one face has the ability to make you laugh, frustrate you, cause you to crack a smile or to strike fear into your heart...You all know what I'm talking about, right?? ;) (y'know, no instructors are monitoring these post currently, right? LOL)
This was our assigment on Thursday. We were grouped in twos (Nawel and I were together) and instead of taking pictures of each OTHER, we had to take pictures of an instructor...and we got Will. We had two hours to shoot...one hour consisting of me attempting to be a photographer while Nawel assisted me with the reflector, etc. and then the second hour we reversed roles. It was definitely a good experience, although a very scary one! haha
What could I have done differently in this picture that would make you like it more?
